THE FRIGHT GALLERY 2001

For 2001's Halloween presentation, Pappy Tobbs and his sister Polly opened up their prodigious pumpkin patch to our creative fans in an interactive display of carved jack o' lanterns. Contributors donated a total of 160 decorated pumpkins to the patch, with The Fright Gallery donating 50 cents to the Red Cross relief efforts for each pumpkin received.

From October 26th through the 31st, Pappy, Polly and the cast magically illuminated the entire pumpkin patch as darkness fell, and the yard glowed with creativity and community spirit!

Enjoy a few pages of photo highlights from the Tobbs Pumpkin Patch in all its glory, then take a peek backstage at the construction of this frightfully fun farm. And thanks to all our fans and visitors who brought their carved jack o' lanterns to participate in the event and support a good cause!
It's a great pumpkin patch!
Our patriotic pumpkin watches over Pappy's Pumpkin Patch as new carved pumpkins arrive nightly, soon crowding the entire yard. Information about this year's event was available in the curbside handout station or up at the Pumpkin Shack.
Glowing jack o' lanters
Believe it or not, even this photo doesn't display all 160 pumpkins donated to Pappy's Patch. There were numerous patriotic-themed pumpkins carved, including the Statue of Liberty at the lower center, and the multi-design flag and pride symbol pumpkin at the bottom right corner. Other whimsical designs featured intricate carvings like the Cat In The Hat design, bottom center.
